Xelha credited for Best Corporate Social Responsibility Practice 2013
For the second time, we are to be recognized for the “Best Corporate Social Responsibility Practice 2013” in the category of “Community Engagement “. Xel -Ha has developed since 1997 the “Community Development Impulse in Chemuyil Town “, which benefits at least 2,500 inhabitants of the town , now considered a model community in the state of Quintana Roo.
The sustainable development program in Chemuyil supports the construction and coordination of educational and sports facilities, health services, parks and care programs that respond to the needs of the community.
One of the most important programs that have been made include “La Ceiba” library, the Technology Training Center, the multipurpose court “Chavez Raul Lugo”, the Community Plaza, the multipurpose palapa, the baseball field remodeling “Mukul Samuel ” and more recently the wastewater treatment plant.
The announcement was made public by Juan Felipe Cajiga Calderón, Director of Corporate Social Responsibility of the Mexican Center for Philanthropy (CEMEFI) Foundation that every year recognizes the companies that develop best practices for the benefit of society. The award will be presented in the International Seminar on Best Practices in CSR 2013 which takes place in the city of Monterrey , Nuevo Leon.
